1. What is Belluna Dome?

Belluna Dome is a domed stadium located in Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture. It is the home stadium of the professional baseball team "Saitama Seibu Lions". Belluna Dome is situated in an area surrounded by the rich natural environment of the Sayama Hills and was constructed to coexist with nature.
Belluna Dome was born in 1979 as "Seibu Lions Stadium". Previously, there was a stadium called "Seibuen Stadium" at this location, which was used for amateur baseball and other events. Seibuen Stadium was renovated with reference to Dodger Stadium in the United States and reborn as a modern stadium.
Later, in 1999, the dome construction was completed, and it made a new start as "Seibu Dome". It employed a world-first method at that time of adding a roof to an existing stadium, attracting attention as a unique domed stadium with a space that was intermediate between indoor and outdoor. This allowed baseball fans to enjoy games regardless of weather conditions, and various events began to be held throughout the year. After several name changes, it became Invoice SEIBU Dome, then Goodwill Dome, Seibu Prince Dome, MetLife Dome, and finally the current Belluna Dome.

Around Belluna Dome, there are facilities such as Seibuen Amusement Park and hot springs that can be enjoyed along with baseball games.
